We plan on reopening our housing office for face-to-face appointments – where the matter can’t be dealt with over the phone – from Monday 6 September.
The GATE has a limited number of appointments available on Tuesdays throughout August for job searching, help to access your online accounts, and wellbeing support. These can be booked by calling 0113 3782190 or emailing email@example.com. Current Government Guidance says it “expects and recommends” the continued wearing of masks in crowded areas, so our staff will be wearing face coverings, and we would respectfully ask that when attending our offices, you wear one too unless you have a medical exemption.
We moved to a new housing IT system this week, so there may be some delays in responding to your enquiries as staff get used to the new system. Thank you for your patience while your calls to us take slightly more time.
We continue to accept and carry out all types of repairs. However, like many organisations at present, our repairs service is currently being impacted by an increase in absences due to COVID-19 and self-isolation cases. This is affecting both frontline operatives and back office staff. We thank you for your ongoing patience during times when it isn’t possible for us to meet our usual repairs and maintenance timescales.
To keep you and our workers safe, please can you ensure that you:
- Tell us if you or anyone in your home have any symptoms of coronavirus before we visit, or are awaiting test results
- Maintain 2m social distancing with our staff and contractors
- Where possible, open the windows slightly during the visit to ventilate your home and help prevent the spread of the virus
