The Belle Isle Tapestry was launched at a packed BITMO’s GATE on 29 May. The tapestry was co-ordinated by Swarthmore’s Creative Communities project and stitched by Belle Isle residents. You can learn more about it and read the stories behind the artwork here.
These are the four sections that make up the Belle Isle Tapestry. It is on display in BITMO’s GATE until Monday 9 June. It will then be on display at Leeds City Museum for 10 weeks from Friday 20 June. You are invited to attend the launch at the Leeds City Museum at 12pm on Friday 20 June.
