Fun Trail on Belle Isle Circus

25 August 2023

Have you seen the new fun trail on Belle Isle Circus? It is all part of a campaign to make the Circus a safe space for the community again. The fence has made a big difference and the first improvement has been the fun trail, which is great for both children and adults to follow, as you can see in the video below!

The next steps will be some bushes and planters, one of which will be positioned to make cyclists slow down as they enter from the bottom end.

BITMO, working with Parks & Countryside and Public Health is holding an event on Belle Isle Circus to see what long-term improvements you would like to see on the Circus and other Belle Isle green spaces, such as at Low Grange View. There will be a marquee on Belle Isle Circus on Wednesday 20 September from 2.30-4.30pm. Please come and let us know what you would like to see.

Improving our service for Retirement Life (sheltered) tenants

Our Retirement Life service supports older people to live independently in their home. We do this in Retirement Life (sometimes known as ‘sheltered’) schemes on the estate. Our Support Officers or Wardens are available to provide regular well-being checks, with choice given to residents on how we do this, to suit their needs. Leeds City Council and BITMO are asking anyone aged 45 or over, to help us improve the service that we offer to current and future residents.
