Consultation on Local Lettings Policies

22 April 2025

Leeds City Council have asked BITMO to promote the consultation on their local lettings policies.

Most council homes are let based on housing need through the Council’s Lettings Policy. However, there are some homes that are subject to a local lettings policy. This means that extra lettings criteria will apply to prioritise applicants based on circumstances such as their age or local connection to an area of Leeds.

The Local Lettings Policies have been in place for many years and have not been reviewed to check if they are still needed. They need to make sure they are addressing the housing need across the city and they want to consult on changing their approach.

They are reviewing their age, good neighbour and family friendly Local Lettings Policies.

This survey should take 5-10 minutes. Please complete it by 14 May 2025.
