Under the terms of the Right to Manage regulations and its management agreement with Leeds City Council, BITMO asked Belle Isle Tenants and Leaseholders (by secret ballot between 11th and 25th September 2009) whether they wished BITMO to continue managing the estate and their opinion of BITMO’s performance to date.
The result of the ballot, scrutinised by
Leeds City Council Electoral Services and
Adam and Co Independent Auditors was as follows;
Question 1: Should BITMO continue?
799 votes cast (35% turnout)
YES = 734 (91.86%)
NO = 60 (7.51%)
Indefinable = 5 (0.63%)
< p>
Question 2 : Do you think BITMO has done a good job so far?
799 votes cast (35% turnout)
YES = 716 (89.61%)
NO = 65 (8.14%)
Indifferent = 18 (2.25%)
This result means that BITMO will continue to manage Belle Isle Estate for a further 5 years when the next continuation ballot will be held.
A big thank you to all those tenants and leasholders who voted for BITMO!
