There is always a lot going on in Belle Isle.
If you are organising an event or are aware of an event that you would like to be publicised, please contact Lynne Spirrett on 0113 214 1833.
Here are just some of the events and activities happening in the coming months;
B.I.T.M.O’s Christmas Party - December
Our Christmas party is always popular, getting all who attend well into the Christmas Spirit. Pete the D.J plays all the popular music, getting the kids up doing party games. Santa makes an appearance giving each child a selection box and the Christmas Raffle is drawn.
Tenants and Residents Associations
Belle Isle currently active Tenants and Residents Associations including one that covers the Aberfields and Newhalls area. There is also an an emerging group in the Rosedale area of the estate.
Groups like these are a great way for people in Belle Isle to get active in their community and make positive changes to their area.
Windmill Bowling Club
Last years restoration of the Bowling Green means that in 2011 Windmill Bowling Club will again open its doors.
The green is maintained by voluntary effort and is a great place to relax, watch or play bowls and meet new friends.
We plan to arrange some more events involving children from Windmill School who designed and made the Windmill Bowling Club badge (right)
If you are a sheltered resident or over 60 and are interested in bowling then contact Ann Mitchell on 0113 214 1757.
