Take your new plastic rent card to the Post Office or to a local PayPoint - (you can see a list of PayPoints in the area by clicking on the link from this page) and make a payment free of charge.

Paying over the internet - you can use the internet to make safe and secure payments for your council tax, housing rents and other council invoices for things like school meals or residential care fees. Its available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and its very simple to use. If you previously used Alliance and Leicester billpay to make payments to Leeds City Council, you'll be able to pay all the same bills using the new service. Take your rent card to any Pay Point outlet and make a rent payment. Please allow 3 days for this transaction to credit your account.
Direct Debit
To pay by Direct Debit., all you need to do is complete a short, simple form that you can get from any housing office or you can download from the link on this page. Then just return it to the Neighbourhoods & Housing Department in Merrion House at the address on the form - it's that easy.
You can choose to pay weekly, or on the 1st or 17th of each month.
We will tell you about any changes prior to the payment coming from your bank account. Direct Debit payments are covered by a guarantee that puts you in full control.
Standing Orders
Standing Orders are similar to Direct Debit you can also pay calendar monthly.
Unlike a Direct Debit, a Standing Order is an agreement between you and your bank. We can provide you with the form to use - you can download it from the link on this page - but this will need to be handed to your bank and you will need to let them know about any future changes in the weekly charge.
